How Can fever Along With Tinnitus Be Treated?

I believe I have the common cold, but I have had an occasional fever and persistent ringing in my ears. I m assuming the ringing is from congestion; my ears don t hurt. I was feeling like I was coming down with something 5 days ago but have been stay at home sick for 3 days. I was wondering if I should see the doctor or just continue with rest, liquids, ect.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for your query.

*does your fever still occur? How much is it?
*any other symptoms like sputum, cough, breathing difficulty, chest congestion, discharge from ears?
*have you taken any medications?
*do you have any other medical issues or take any other medications?

I recommend that you wait for 5 more days.
If your symptoms don't get better by then or worsens in between, see a doctor right away.

You might need an ENT specialist opinion in addition to a physician opinion as well.

Steam inhalations, drinking warm fluids through the day and staying hydrated are key to a speedy recovery.
Hope this helps and you feel better.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health
